5. Nevada (W)

This will be no easy victory for Boise State, as the Wolfpack have had three consecutive winning seasons. However, they have fallen to the Broncos the last six times the two have met, so BSU has Nevada’s number saved for sure. Boise State should pull this one out by no less than 10 points.

Record: 3-2, 2-0

6. BYU (L)

I am officially contradicting myself with this prediction, as I previously had BSU taking this one when I broke down my Brigham Young projections for next season. But in retrospect, I do not understand what led me to that conclusion.

Boise State will be shaky heading into Provo, and will have last year’s encounter with the Cougars lingering in their heads. Loss number three for the Broncos comes at the hands of BYU.

Record: 3-3

7. Air Force (W)

The AF Falcons have looked quite swell in their past couple of seasons, yet that has not appeared to have slowed down Boise State whenever they have faced one another. The Broncos will continue their win streak over Air Force on the former’s home field to secure a positive 4-3 record heading into game eight.

Record: 4-3, 3-0

8. Colorado State (W)

There’s nothing redeemable about this matchup, at least not for the Colorado State Rams. Boise State will be coming off of a bye week to battle a team that they have won all ten of their meetings with. What else is there to say?

Record: 5-3, 4-0
