9. Oklahoma Sooners

The other half of the Red River Rivalry finds themselves locked in at ninth place on the uniform rankings. Oklahoma, similarly to Texas, has a historically consistent home uniform with only two colors; and one of them is white.

What gives the Sooners the edge over the Longhorns is their choice of color. The strong shade of red is more visually flattering than the burnt orange, and looks exceptionally great when shining on the Oklahoma domes.

Speaking of the helmets being that color, such a decision also depicts a home style that is not overly dependent on a base color like white. To put it simply, Oklahoma’s helmet is what mainly guided them past Texas in this list.
