The struggling Tigers are 0-3 this season.

The Grambling State Tigers come into their game against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in desperate need of a win. So far this season, what could go wrong has gone wrong for the Tigers. The strength of the team was supposed to be the defense. However, the defense surrendered 32.6 points per game, ten points more than their league-leading 22.4 points per game last season.

Though quarterback Gary Hickbottom and the Grambling offense played well against Jackson State, the Tigers’ offense has only scored 15.5 points per game, their last two after scoring 28 points against Jackson State. Now, the Tigers have gone through two offensive coordinators in three games this season.

Former quarterback turned offensive coordinator Kendrick Nord resigned as offensive coordinator after one game. That came on the heels of Mark Orlando leaving after the Prarie View game. Head coach Broderick Fobbs will likely assume the play-calling duties.

A road upset against A&M could right the ship. However, a lot would need to go right for the Tigers to have any chance to win the game. Above anything, the Tigers would need to find a way to slow down Bulldogs’ quarterback Aqeel Glass.

In a season where little has gone right, the Tigers need to dig deep to have a chance Saturday against the Bulldogs.
