Trey Lance — Carolina Panthers

Lance is one of the toughest figures to place in the 2021 NFL draft and part of that is that he only played one game for North Dakota State during the 2020 season.

That wasn’t his fault. It’s just how things went with the COVID-19 pandemic. However, he’s an extremely talented kid and in 2019, he didn’t throw a single interception.

Lance also has legit dual-threat capabilities and seems like the ideal long-term quarterback for Carolina, which is still trying to replace Cam Newton.

Mac Jones — Patriots

The Eagles are definitely interested in a quarterback but it appears they wanted Zach Wilson. Maybe they would consider Mac Jones with the 12th pick, yet I just don’t see it.

I just have a feeling that the Patriots will try to make a move up for a quarterback and Jones seems like he could be the best option. He probably also has the best chance of falling in their lap at the 15th overall pick.

Chicago has picked up Andy Dalton, however, that won’t mean a darn thing when the 2021 NFL draft actually rolls around. So keep them in mind too.

New England may need to move up to make it happen, but I think they will wind up with Mac Jones in the end.
