The huge plays down the field, the monumental last-second throws on fourth down, the monster games and of course, the Heisman trophy poses that were a subsequent outcome of the above.

College football has given us all of those memories but which quarterback has given us more?

While every position on both sides of the ball is important, none come close to the quarterback spot. The game effectively is theirs to either win or lose. With over 100 years of history to study, we’ve come up with our top 30 QBs of all-time.

Future success, such as how a specific player performed at the next level holds no weight in these rankings. For whatever reason, things just don’t pan out the way many expect. So while some players were terrific in their college careers, the lack of playing time ultimately shut down any thought of future success.

The perfect example of that would be Patrick Mahomes. Although he’s considered the best QB in the league today, even he had to pay his dues on the bench before establishing himself as the man.

So as previously mentioned, their NFL careers, or lack thereof, won’t be a factor. Only their entire body of college work will be taken into consideration. Nothing more, nothing less.

Now, without further ado, let’s jump into the list.
