There have been 84 winners of the coveted Heisman Trophy in the history of college football, and we rank them all here, starting with No. 84, Gary Beban.

The history of college football is rich with unforgettable players, moments, and personalities, all of which have played a huge role in what makes the sport so great. Of course, the No. 1 goal of every school each season is to win a national title, which has seen its format undergo changes throughout the years.

Outside of team goals, when it comes to the individual player, there is no greater honor than winning the Heisman Trophy. One of the more exclusive clubs in all of sports, the Heisman Trophy winner joins a fraternity that makes them immortal in the history of college football, cementing his legacy forever.

Here, we look at all 84 winners of the award, leaving out No. 85 (Reggie Bush), and while all players deserved to win their awards, not all Heisman Trophy winners are created equal.
