ACC Football: Ranking every uniform from worst to first
By Austin Lloyd
#1: Florida State Seminoles
It’s official, the Florida State Seminoles have the best uniform in the Atlantic Coast Conference (according to me). The creativity, the originality, the color scheme, the color balance, the helmet design, and so on. It is all there while being placed amongst teams who have been repeatedly criticized for their basic attributes.
I, personally, do not care for the font choice by FSU. However, if that is the only issue that I take with their uniform decisions, in an era where there are countless font types, then who am I to make a huge fuss about it as if it’s some sort of deal-breaker?
Not to mention that outside of some alternate styles, the Noles have basically kept the same home look over the years: gold pants and helmet, with a garnet jersey and facemask. The spear imagery on the sides of the helmet has also been around for decades.
And since the photograph above was taken, Florida State has returned to donning white numbers instead of gold ones, the former being the traditional choice.
I have really said all that there is to be said about FSU’s fit, and just about all of it was positive. A dominating appearance for a historically dominating program, who will hopefully be back on top in the coming seasons, stands atop the ACC hill for best uniform in the conference.
