Texas A&M football: Kellen Mond to Panthers

The former Texas A&M football quarterback is going to want to go early in the draft, but you also want to head somewhere you can play and Carolina could be the answer.

Carolina has Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback and while he’s solid, he’s not really a game-changer. The Panthers will surely be looking for one of the first-round quarterbacks, but again, they could miss out or maybe don’t want to use that high of a pick, depending on who’s left.

If the Panthers don’t get a quarterback in the first round, Mond could very well be on the radar. Not only did the Panthers attend his pro-day workout, but the staff also saw him during the Senior Bowl and he was really good that week.

Over the years, we have seen a few quarterbacks such as Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson emerging after not being a first-round pick, and who knows, if he lands in the right spot, maybe Mond can throw his name into that conversation someday.
