Southeastern Conference

Add: Central Florida Knights

UCF has been a very respectable Group of 5 program for the past few years and has done so in the heart of Florida, which is a perfect location for an SEC team.

The popularity of Orlando, which is primarily thanks to Disney World, would also be a perk to consider if the Southeastern Conference was ever looking to expand any further.

And it must not be forgotten that following their unbeaten 2017-18 season, the Knights obnoxiously declared themselves National Champions despite clearly not being the best team in the country. With that in mind, I can only assume that Alabama would be all for UCF’s inclusion.

Remove: Missouri Tigers

Mizzou is a team that is typically average on a good year, and that is not quite a description that the SEC wants to be tied to its reputation. The Tigers were the last team accepted into the conference, and their biggest historical rival, the Kansas Jayhawks, are in the Big 12.

Only two other teams could be argued as not being worthy of remaining in the Southeastern Conference, and those teams are Arkansas and Texas A&M. But TAMU was just short of a playoff appearance last season, while the Razorbacks are more geographically appropriate for the SEC than Mizzou. Arkansas also has a huge rival in LSU, which is a much bigger matchup than any Southeastern name facing off against Missouri.
