When Ayodele Adeoye was being recruited, he was down to a handful of schools and one of them happened to be Texas A&M. He ultimately committed to Tom Herman and Texas, but with the coaching change this offseason, he has decided to enter the transfer portal and the Aggies could get back into the mix.

Oklahoma was also a finalist for him and it looked like he was going to Norman, but he spurned the Sooners and picked their rival.

Could he go to a rival school yet again, leaving Texas for Texas A&M football?

That remains to be seen but the Aggies need some linebackers and Adeoye was one of the best in his 2018 recruiting class.

On top of that, he had a huge redshirt freshman year in 2019, finishing with 45 tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and an interception. He played just three games in 2020 before deciding to transfer.

Texas A&M lost Buddy Johnson and Anthony Hines III so adding Adeoye wouldn’t be the worst option, even if he is a former Longhorn.
