Aqeel Glass had career highs in both passing yards and touchdowns.

Alabama A&M quarterback Aqeel Glass had the main stage this afternoon and did not disappoint. Glass is a legit NFL prospect, but not many people outside Huntsville knew or had seen Glass. This afternoon, Glass got an opportunity to show a global college football community what he could do with a football.

Glass did not disappoint, throwing for a career-high in both touchdowns. Glass showed all the attributes of an NFL quarterback. Glass had both tremendous ball placement and accuracy. The St. Louis native showed both touch and anticipation and had zip on the ball when he needed.

What was as impressive as the arm talent — and Glass has NFL arm talent — was the awareness and feel in the pocket. Glass was able to move around and climb the pocket when needed. He also did an excellent job of feeling pressure. JSU only got to Glass when there was an unblocked free rusher.

Glass’s most impressive feat was dealing with the pressure of playing on national television, knowing all eyes would be on him. The senior quarterback was the NFL prospect that everyone wanted to see if he had the goods that all the scouts were raving about leading up to this game. Glass lived up to the hype and then some.
