#6: TCU Horned Frogs

Frogs coach Gary Patterson has now spent two decades as the head of the program and still had them winning sixty percent of their games last season. However, Texas Christian is what one may call “consistently inconsistent.” In other words, TCU has been a very unpredictable program, which leaves the Horned Frogs as a pretty middle-of-the-road Big 12 football team. As a result, they find themselves with a pretty middle-of-the-road ranking on this list.

#5: Kansas State Wildcats

Unlike some of the schools placed below them, K-State did not have an overly strong showing in 2020, finishing with a record of 4-6. But the year before that (which means more in my opinion), they donned a rather bragworthy performance of 8-5. Also, they have won their last two meetings versus Oklahoma. Sounds pretty powerful if you ask me.

#4: Texas Longhorns

While Texas has not been “back” in quite some time, at least head coach Tom Herman had them saying “Texas is relevant” for a few years there.

But apparently, relevance was not good enough for the Longhorns, as they canned Herman after a 7-3 display in 2020 that was capped off by a hefty win in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

His replacement, Steve Sarkisian, is overrated and will be in his first season with UT. The 2021-22 CFB year will be one that Longhorn Nation would like to forget. Good.
