Mohamed Diallo, DT Central Michigan

When defensive tackles hit the transfer portal, they don’t tend to last very long. One of the few good ones left in the portal now is Central Michigan defensive tackle Mohamed Diallo.

Diallo is 6-foot-4 and over 300 pounds. He was recruited to Texas A&M but has played the past two years at Central Michigan and was credited with seven tackles for loss and three sacks in 2020. He also had 16 tackles in just four games.

That’s pretty active for a defensive lineman. He’s been connected to the Wolverines earlier this offseason and after spring ball, it’s clear more help is needed at defensive tackle.

Even if Diallo doesn’t come in and start, he could provide some key snaps behind guys like Chris Hinton and Mazi Smith. With his length, he could even play some at defensive end in a three-man front.

The top of the depth chart might be alright for the Wolverines but depth is a concern and Diallo could help address that in 2021.
