Florida State. 1. 16. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Asante Samuel Jr. player

One of my favorite corners in the entire draft, Asante Samuel Jr. is not getting the recognition that he deserves. This cornerback class has some talent at the top, but there is not one guy who has clear separation from everyone. That means that there will be some gems to be picked in the late first and the second round and I think the best of that bunch is Samuel Jr.

At 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, Samuel Jr. is not the most physically imposing player on the outside, but his athleticism is what makes up for it.

He can play in either man or zone and be a playmaker and was the Seminoles best player on defense last season.

Samuel is also one of the best tacklers at his position, which should never be discounted. A team that should be looking for corner help late in the first round will be the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have one of the best corners in the league in Tredavious White, but after that, the position is pretty bare for the team. Samuel could come in and give the Bills an instant boost playing opposite of White.

Projection: 30th to the Buffalo Bills
