player. 849. . . . Marqui Lowery. 7

Position: Cornerback
Former team: Louisville
Year: Redshirt freshman
High school rating: 3-star

Michigan State is in great need of cornerbacks and even though Marqui Lowery does not have much experience in college, he looks to add much-needed depth to the Spartan secondary.

. . Khary Crump. 6. player. 835.

Bio: Player Info
Position: Cornerback
Former team: Arizona
Year: Redshirt freshman
High school rating: 3-star

The Spartans focused on adding depth to their defensive secondary and Khary Crump like Lowery does not have much experience playing in college but both are young and looking to prove themselves. Crump looks to push for playing time this fall.

5. player. 811. . . . Ben VanSumeren

Bio: Player Info
Position: Linebacker
Former team: Michigan
Year: Senior
High school rating3-star

Ben VanSumernen comes with experience as originally a fullback and switched to linebacker where he started two games for the Wolverines last season. The Spartans are very thin at linebacker and he will have the opportunity to compete for a starting spot. The worst case is that he adds depth within the linebacking corps and is a starter on special teams.
