Ranking the transfers already on campus

Michigan State held their spring game and these players all are listed on the spring roster and have participated in spring ball activities. Before we get to the top four transfers, here are some players that transferred and are on the Michigan State football team now.

805. . . . Kendall Brooks. 5. player

Kendall Brooks is a transfer from North Greenville and is in his junior year. He is a cornerback who sat out last season and played two seasons prior at the division two-level. Spencer Rowland is a grad transfer from Wheaton College. He, like Brooks, did not play last season and prior to last season was a Division III AP first-team All-American. Both players look to be used as depth in the secondary and possibly on special teams as well.

825. . . . Drew Jordan. 4. player

Bio: Player Info
Position: Defensive end
Former team: Duke
Year: Senior
High school rating: 4-star

Drew Jordan has a ton of starts in the ACC for Duke from his sophomore to senior year in Chapel Hill. The Spartans defensive line is not the most concerning drop on the Michigan State’s defense but has a leader and experienced player in Jordan is a very positive addition to the traditionally good and solid Spartan defense.

Even though Jordan didn’t have a ton of reps in the Spartans’ spring game doesn’t mean that he will not play a lot once the real games occur this fall. This was a solid get for Tucker and his staff as Jordan looks to be one of the top leaders for the Spartans this fall.

player. 2407. . . . Jarrett Horst. 3

Bio: Player Info
Position: Offensive tackle
Former team: Arkansas State
Year: Redshirt junior
High school ratingNR

Jarrett Horst started at left tackle in the spring game and he has a good chance to start for the Spartans come fall. He started the vast majority of games at Arkansas State these past two seasons and he has the experience and ability to compete for a starting spot on the Spartan offensive line this season. He was a very key addition for Tucker and his staff as Horst not only has proven that he can play but he has the desire and determination to continue to improve and now compete in a Power Five conference.
