52. RB. player. 1. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. North Carolina. Javonte Williams

The best prospect coming out of North Carolina this season is running back Javonte Williams. Williams had a huge breakout season in 2020, with 157 carries for nearly 1,200 yards and 19 touchdowns, while averaging 7.3 yards per carry.

Williams is a powerful back at 5’10 220 LBS and he projects well to being an every-down back at the next level. Williams is not on the same tier of running back as Najee Harris and Travis Etienne, but I think that he could just as well start from day one.

A team that has a glaring need at running back is not easy to find in the NFL today due to the position being very devalued in the league. In the second round, a team that makes sense would be the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have two picks in that round.

Undrafted rookie Jerome Robinson had a solid rookie season, but with the new coaching staff and roster turnover, don’t be surprised to see Jacksonville add a running back to go with presumed number one pick Trevor Lawrence. Williams would fit in well on the team and form a formidable duo with Robinson.

Projection: 45th to the Jacksonville Jaguar

Scouting Report. Dyami Brown. 2. Pick Analysis. WR. North Carolina. player. 124

Dyami Brown was one of the most dynamic receivers in the country last season and it has led to his rise up the 2021 NFL draft board.

Brown is one of the best vertical threats in this draft and will be a dangerous weapon to any offense from day one in the NFL. He had a great 2020 season, posting 55 catches for nearly 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns.

Brown does not possess great size at 6’1 180 LBS, but his ability to stretch the field vertically can ease those concerns. One concern I do have with Brown though is that he needs to round his game out more to become a more complete receiver than just a deep threat and that was not always the case at North Carolina.

As far a team fit goes for Brown, I think there are teams in the second round who would love to snatch him up. A team that would utilize Brown well would be the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs already have Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce but did lose Sammy Watkins in free agency and Mecole Hardman is close to being a free agent, which means young talent will need to be brought in. Brown in Kansas City would be a perfect fit with the other weapons around him.

Projection: 58th to the Kansas City Chiefs
