DE. Oklahoma. 2. 36. Pick Analysis. Ronnie Perkins. player. Scouting Report

One of the best pass rushers in this class will be Ronnie Perkins out of Oklahoma.

A guy that was not on a lot of radars heading into the 2020 season, Perkins transformed the Sooners’ defense into a good unit, which was a very good accomplishment. In just a handful of games, Perkins collected 5.5 sacks and was a threat to be in the backfield on every play. Perkins is quick off the edge and does well to convert speed to power when rushing the passer.

I don’t think that Perkins is going to go in the first round, but like his teammate Humphrey, Perkins will be one of the most coveted players in the second round. There are several teams that should be looking to add to their pass-rushing group and one of those teams will be the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks do not have a first-round pick due to their trade for Jamal Adams and will look to fill their top need in the second round. Perkins should fit right in and be an instant starter for Seattle.

Projection: No. 56 overall to the Seattle Seahawks
