Zach Wilson. 30. BYU. 2. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB

Quarterbacks are going to dominate the first 10 picks and No. 2 overall is more than likely going to be Zach Wilson, barring a miracle.

The Jets dealt Sam Darnold this offseason which means that they’ll be looking for a quarterback and what better option than to add the quickest-rising star in the college ranks over the past couple of seasons. He went from above average freshman in 2018 with 1,578 yards and 12 touchdowns to superstar as a junior with 3,692 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. Plus, he had an incredible 74 percent completion rate and 196.4 rating in 2020.

If there’s one quarterback who benefitted most from the 2020 season going on as planned, it was Wilson. If he entered the draft based off his very average sophomore campaign, he would probably go undrafted.

The Jets need to have some sort of competent offense and if Wilson continues to improve, he’s going to give them just that.
