TE. Florida. Kyle Pitts. 4. player. 44. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Atlanta fans aren’t going to be too happy with selecting a tight end at No. 4 overall, especially since the Falcons have much more important needs, but Kyle Pitts is probably the best available player at this point.

Oh, and Atlanta does actually need a tight end.

The Falcons may actually need another pass-catcher soon as there are rumors that Julio Jones is on the trade block and the franchise is fielding offers. If he’s dealt, having a backup play for Matt Ryan would be wise.

There are going to be plenty of Falcons fans calling for the organization to draft hometown hero Justin Fields after he falls out of the top three, but the current momentum is in Pitts’ favor.

Pitts fills the Falcons’ biggest need on the offensive side of the ball and he’s not exactly a reach here because many believe he’s the best tight end prospect in years. Over his final two seasons at Florida, he caught 97 passes for 1,419 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has many Pro Bowls in his future.
