#2: Florida Gators

The intimidation factor pretty much hits its peak with this one. Especially considering my Floridian upbringing, I cannot think of a much better choice for a UF mascot that meets the crossroads of scariness and geographical relevance much better than that of a flipping alligator.

Turning to the gator’s design, the not-so-aligned teeth mixed with the jagged pupil of a reptilian eye is just beautiful. Florida rarely gives the gator head logo any focus on their uniforms. However, they better find a way to do so.

#1: LSU Tigers

If you have ever visited the state of Louisiana, you quickly realized that they in no way cared to humor the possibility of you liking virtually any team other than LSU, as Tigers merchandise is practically all that they sell. Louisiana loves their bayou Bengals, plain and simple.

Something else that the state loves is Mardi Gras, which consists of multiple colors, including purple and gold. And just like that, the primarily gold tiger head placed atop the purple “LSU” banner showcases an appealing color combo, a frightening mascot, and heavy geographical ties all in one go.

Above all else, LSU’s logo depicts the passion of the people that inhabit Louisiana, and that is one of the most goosebump-inducing things that a logo can do.
