5. Trevon Moehrig- 43rd pick to the Raiders

This safety class was viewed as a weak class overall, but TCU’s Trevon Moehrig was widely seen as the top safety in the class and was thought to be the first one off the board. Some even thought that he could be a first-round pick.

Moehrig did not go off the board on the first night, causing him to slip to the second round. Two safeties came off the board before the Las Vegas Raiders made the move up the draft board to grab the talented TCU safety.

Moehrig will have a chance to make a splash on what was a bad defense for the Raiders last season.

Moehrig should have been off the board a sooner than the 43rd pick and I think that he will have a chance to be one of the best defensive rookies in 2021 as he hopes to help the Raiders make the playoffs in 2021
