Clemson Tigers (10-2)

What do you get for the team that has everything? More offensive weapons. With D.J. Uiagelelei taking over for Trevor Lawrence, the Tigers also have to replace Amari Rogers, Travis Etienne, and Cornell Powell.

If there is one thing that has held the Tigers back in the playoff is the receiver position. These players will help in this area.

  • Will Shipley, APB:  Christian McCaffery has come to the eastern seaboard, sort of. Shipley can run wide or between the tackles. The North Carolina native can catch the ball out of the backfield, motion wide, or line in the slot. The way the offensive coordinator uses Will Shipley is only limited to his imagination. Shipley has sprinter speed and continues to have home run hitters in the backfield, started by CJ Spiller and continued by Travis Etienne.
  • Phil Mafah, RB: Expect to see Phil Mafah and Shipley on the field together at the same time. Mafah can be the thunder to Shipley’s lightning. However, that is not to say that Mafah does not have some wiggle to his game. The Georgia native is built like Pittsburgh Steeler running back Najee Harris, thick with some burst. Mafah has no issue initiating contact but can make you miss as well. Watching Mafah and Shipley will be a lot of fun this fall.
  • Beaux Collins, WR: With Cornell Powell out and Justyn Ross’ future uncertain, 6-foot-3 wider receiver Beaux Collins has the opportunity to play from day one. Collins is a polished route-runner who can get down the field. Collins needs to get more physical and fight for the ball a bit more, but he can take snaps right away this season.
