There’s a strong case to be made that Tom Allen is doing as good a coaching job at Indiana as anyone could have dreamed possible.

Last season, his Hoosiers were a win against Ohio State away from reaching the Big Ten title game and who knows, maybe even the College Football Playoff.

After getting robbed of a major bowl game, Indiana lost to Ole Miss. Now, the question is what will Indiana do for an encore?

Indiana is fifth in the Big Ten right now according to ESPN’s FPI but much of the Hoosiers’ success next season will depend on quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

Ty Fryfogle is one of the best receivers in the Big Ten, while Indiana also has one of the best back sevens in the conference. Taking the next step and building a consistent winner is always tough and we’ll see if Indiana can do that in 2021.
