2. Bubba Bolden

A guy that is hard to figure out is Miami safety, Bubba Bolden. For the first half of last season, Bolden played like an All-American and one of the best safeties in the country.

After the game against Clemson, Bolden’s play fell off in a big way and he struggled with missed tackles and being out of position constantly. That mixture of things makes Bolden a tough draft prospect to evaluate. If you get the guy from the first half of the season, he is a potential first-rounder. If he is still inconsistent then Bolden could fall quite a bit.

Bolden is going to be expected to lead the Miami secondary this season and be one of the leaders of the entire team. Miami’s defense struggled at times last season and some of that can be chalked up to shaky secondary play. I expect Bolden to have a more consistent season in 2021 and be in consideration for an early-round pick.
