1. Zion Nelson

The top 2022 draft prospect for the Miami Hurricanes will be offensive tackle Zion Nelson. Nelson has shown massive improvement since arriving as a two-star recruit at Miami and he is in a position to be one of the top offensive linemen off of the board in next year’s draft. Nelson has been the starter at left tackle for the Hurricanes since he stepped on campus and h

e had to get better fast. After a rough debut in his freshman season against the Florida Gators, Nelson has become the anchor for the Hurricanes line.

There are some draft analysts that have Nelson projected as a top five pick right now and while I think Nelson has first-round capabilities, I am not ready to say that he could be a top-5 pick just yet. Nelson has been good, but not dominant.

Zion Nelson will have a chance to go against one of the best defenses in the country in week one as Miami takes on Alabama in Atlanta and that could be a huge boost to his draft stock.
