3-star RB Justin Williams

The 2022 recruiting class has been wild just with the dead period and all the different things that have happened. That’s one reason I wouldn’t worry too much about rankings.

And the fact of the matter is that Nebraska football signs mostly three-star recruits, which isn’t a bad thing if you recruit the right ones.

One that Nebraksa would really like to add to its 2022 class is running back Justin Williams, another Georgia kid who is seeing his recruitment take off.

North Carolina State jumped into the mix recently for the 6-foot-2, 200-pound back who is ranked No. 511 overall according to the 247 sports composite rankings. He’s also 39th among running backs.

But USC just offered and he has visits set with the Trojans, Huskers, West Virginia, and Louisville. He’s not incredibly fast, but he can make people miss and he’s got really good vision.

Running back recruiting has been a little hit and miss for Nebraska football, and so far, the Huskers don’t have any committed in 2022. Williams is a quality candidate but he’s saying he doesn’t want to commit until the fall.

The visit will be important though and with a wide-open situation, the Huskers have a lot to offer.
