Michigan has produced some big-time defensive line talents over the years and the Wolverines even saw Kwity Paye go in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and guys like Rashan Gary and Chase Winovich have made names for themselves at the professional level as well.

That could be an intriguing option for Jay Hardy.

The former four-star defensive lineman was the No. 101 overall recruit in the 2020 class and he held nearly 40 offers, including one from Michigan. He decided to stay in SEC country and chose Auburn even though everyone expected him to pick Tennessee.

Hardy is a 6-4, 280-pound beast from Tennessee and he may be taking note of what Michigan has done with defensive linemen and he could join Aidan Hutchinson, Donovan Jeter, and Mazi Smith on that strong defensive line in 2021. The Wolverines need depth on the line and why not add one of the best talents on the market to push for a starting spot?

The former Michigan target could give the Wolverines a much-needed boost.
