Virginia Cavaliers: Ronde Barber, CB

Ronde Barber is probably one of the more overlooked talents on this list, but that does not mean that he wasn’t excellent. Spending his entire career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Barber won Super Bowl XXXVII, along with being a 5x All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection.

While at Virginia, Barber was a solid player, but not outstanding. Because of this, he was overlooked quite a bit before finally being selected by the Bucs in the 1997 draft with the 66th overall pick.

As far as his legacy is concerned, Barber is widely applauded as being one of the most dynamic defensive backs of his time, a regard that was headlined by his inclusion in the National Football League’s 2000s All-Decade Team.

Lastly, while he is not currently a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he certainly has the credentials to be, and will hopefully be chosen for induction eventually.
