TJ Finley, QB LSU

At this time of year, there isn’t a ton of quarterback talent in the portal but one guy that entered in the second wave after spring ball was former LSU quarterback TJ Finley.

Finley is a big kid at 6-foot-6 and he’s got a big arm. The 242-pound freshman played in five games last season for LSU and had some ups and downs. He threw five touchdown passes but also threw five interceptions and completed just 57 percent of his throws.

After not making a move towards being the starter this spring, Finley entered the portal a couple of weeks ago and has garnered significant interest, including from Penn State football, which made contact.

At this point, Finley is down to three schools: Penn State, Auburn, and Texas. But it’s starting to look like things could go the way of Auburn.

Yet, you never know what can happen, and Finley is a guy with experience and long-term starter potential, so he’d be the ideal choice for the Nittany Lions.
