During the first wave of transfer portal additions, Penn State football did some work at defensive end and picked up Arnold Ebiketie from Temple, who is expected to be a starter next season and is ranked as a top-50 transfer in 2021.

But, in his recent depth chart projection, Penn State could still use some help at defensive end via Sean Fitz of 247 sports:

"“Penn State addressed the defensive end position in the Transfer Portal, but if you look at the numbers you can see why they are still looking at adding another.”"

The Nittany Lions could clearly use another edge rusher. They have moved a linebacker to defensive end in pursuit of more depth and one name in the transfer portal that’s sensible is Marqez Bimage.

Bimage is a 6-foot-2, 250-pound weakside defensive end who is leaving as a graduate transfer. Bimage didn’t play last season but had 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack for the Longhorns back in 2019.

And at this point, if Penn State wants to add some depth at defensive end from the portal, he’s probably the best option, although things change on a daily basis.
