Jay Hardy only appeared in one game during the 2020 season, playing against Auburn in the Citrus Bowl and recording no stats.

But his potential is through the roof.

Hardy came to Auburn as the No. 101 overall recruit in the 2020 class and he was also the 13th-best defensive tackle, according to the composite on 247Sports. He was expected to have a big career at Auburn, but he was buried on the depth chart early and when Gus Malzahn left the Tigers, he decided to enter the portal.

And before you assume it was just because of the coaching change, he actually gave them a fair shot and stuck around until after spring ball, entering the portal in early May.

Arkansas’ defensive line could use a ton of help and Hardy actually held an offer from the Razorbacks in the 2020 class so it wouldn’t hurt to reach back out and try to sell him on playing time and the chance to be part of a major turnaround.
