Let’s face it, Ole Miss’ defense needs a ton of help. That’s exactly why Lane Kiffin added Nigel Knott and Chance Campbell in the transfer portal, addressing defense with two of his three transfers.

But addressive the defensive line would be wise as well.

That’s where Jay Hardy comes in. He didn’t play in his freshman season with Auburn, but he was one of the top prospects in the entire 2020 recruiting class and was thought to have a bright future with the Tigers. He didn’t seem to fit in with the new coaching staff after Gus Malzahn’s departure this offseason and chose to enter the portal after spring ball.

As one of the top transfers currently on the market, Hardy won’t have a difficult time trying to find a new home and Ole Miss could use plenty of help in the trenches.

Plus, Ole Miss offered him and was recruiting him in its 2020 class with Chris Partridge as his lead recruiter.
