Losing Elijah Moore is going to hurt the Ole Miss offense quite a bit as Matt Corral will search for his new favorite target. Sure, that could come in the form Jonathan Mingo, Dontario Drummond, or Braylon Sanders or even a young freshman like Bralon Brown, but Lane Kiffin could search in the portal for a former top target like Demariyon Houston.

The Nebraska redshirt freshman didn’t record any receiving statistics in 2020 and decided to enter the portal after a disappointing season from the Cornhuskers.

Houston was offered by Ole Miss back in the 2019 class and while Kiffin wasn’t the coach back then, he could show some interest in the previous staff’s former target. He could probably sell Houston on early playing time given that the Rebels are looking for a new No. 1 receiver.

While he may not start, Houston could immediately jump into the two-deep to contend for some big-time snaps in one of the best passing offenses in the country.

There are plenty of talented receivers in the portal, but Houston makes a lot of sense here.
