4-star CB Keenan Nelson Jr.

Recruiting is still about winning battles close to home and that’s particularly important in a talent-rich state like Pennslyvania.

In the 2022 recruiting class, there are a number of key prospects in the state and one of them is cornerback Keenan Nelson Jr. a 6-foot-1, 200-pound recruit ranked 134th overall according to the 247 sports composite rankings, 16th among cornerbacks, and third among players in Pennslyvania.

That along with the need to add more elite talent in the secondary makes Nelson, a recruit out of Philly, a must-land for the Nittany Lions in 2022.

The good news for Penn State football fans is that so far, that effort is going really well.

The Nittany Lions have been the crystal ball leader for the past few months, but have picked up two more in recent days following his official visit.

South Carolina is getting an official visit later this month and Michigan State has been in the mix, but all indications are that Lewis is sticking with his in-state school.
