Jaren Hall
Jaren Hall missed the entire 2020 season due to injury, but he looks to be healthy this season and ready to compete for the starting quarterback job.
Hall has been with BYU since 2018 and was ranked the No. 20 dual threat quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com coming out of high school. His best collegiate game came in 2019 against Utah State, where he amassed 268 total yards and had two rushing touchdowns.
BYU fans, do yourselves a favor and watch these Jaren Hall highlights from the USU 1st half before he got hurt. He was dominant!

If heathy, he's the front runner to start imo.#BYUFootball pic.twitter.com/JCsKVOmPwX
He also played for the BYU baseball team when he got to Provo, but he put his baseball career on hold so he could focus more on football.
Hall gives BYU lots of options at the quarterback position with his ability to run and pass. College football has seen its share of successful dual threat quarterbacks over the past few years, with players such as Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, and Justin Fields leading their teams to success.
The founder of Football Gameplan and CBS Sports Analyst Emory Hunt tweeted this recently about Hall:
If QB Jaren Hall can play the whole season for #BYU, watch out. He’s the truth 👌🏾

Despite losing a talent like Zach Wilson, BYU will not be short-handed when it comes to choosing its next quarterback, which is a good problem to have. Whether it’s Conover, Romney, or Hall, the Cougars’ offense will be in good hands for the 2021 season as the team looks to build off the success of their 11-win 2020 season.
