4-star DE Dante Anderson

Collins is from the state of Georgia and you can see that impact on the recruiting trail for the Yellow Jackets, who have done an exceptional job of landing in-state talent, particularly in 2022.

Seven of the eight verbals right now are from Georgia and the pressure is on Swann to make it another Peach-state prospect to join Georgia Tech.

The other commitment though is from Florida and that’s where our second priority target is from and that’s Dante Anderson, a four-star edge rusher.

In 2020 and 2021, Georgia Tech football signed 10 prospects from the state of Florida and the main competitor for Anderson is Miami. He’s ranked 232nd overall in the 2022 class and at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, he’s got big-time potential playing on the edge.

Anderson took an official visit to Georgia Tech last weekend but also took an unofficial stop at Miami, which has the only crystal ball projection from back in January.

Florida, Florida State, and Ole Miss are also in the mix and listed as “warm” on Anderson’s 247 sports recruiting profile, so if the Yellow Jackets win out, it’d be a really solid get.
