The Big 12 football conference has been around for more than 20 years and here are the best and worst helmets for each team.

When the uniforms started being a big part of what attracted recruits, one of the Big 12’s own was right in the middle of the revolution.

Baylor started switching things up, wearing a bunch of different uniforms and helmets after having mostly the same look since the ’70s. The gold helmets started to fade, and green, black, and even gray appeared.

It’s no coincidence that when Baylor looked good, they played good as well. They narrowly missed out on a College Football Playoff berth after finishing the regular season 11-1 and tied with TCU for the Big 12 title. That lead to the creation of the Big 12 Title game, which is another story for another time.

Baylor went 32-7 over a three-year stretch, including two New Year’s Six bowls and even reaching number two in the polls.

Who else joins Baylor with some of the best looks among Big 12 football teams?
