South Florida Football: Bulls could be in for rough season in 2021
Tough schedule awaits Bulls in 2021
Playing in one of the toughest conferences in the country, it is only natural that South Florida will play one of the toughest schedules in the country. It is going to be a battle every week for South Florida, but considering they only won one game last season, they could double that in 2021.
- Game 1: at NC State (L)- NC State is a sleeper team in the ACC and they will be tough to beat on the road.
- Game 2: Florida (L)- This will be a great home game for South Florida football, but it will probably end poorly this season.
- Game 3: Florida A&M (W)- This should be one of the easier games of the season for the Bulls and one they should win.
- Game 4: At BYU (L)- BYU is rebuilding and losing a lot of starters, but they will have enough to beat USF at home.
- Game 5: At SMU (L)- SMU has a high-powered offense and will be tough to keep up with.
- Game 6: Tulsa (L)- Tulsa is riding high off a great season from a year ago and will be a top team in the AAC.
- Game 7: Temple (W)- I think that Temple is in for a down year in 2021 and USF needs to capitalize on this opportunity to get a win.
- Game 8: At East Carolina (L)- This is a toss-up game, but I trust the Pirates to get it done at home.
- Game 9: Houston (L)- Houston is one of the top teams in the AAC and USF will not be able to keep up with them.
- Game 10: Cincinnati (L)- The Bearcats will be a darkhorse playoff contender and will be looking to finish the season strong against the Bulls.
- Game 11- At Tulane (L)- Willie Fritz has built a good program at Tulane and they are in for a good 2021 season.
- Game 12: At UCF (L)- Until the Bulls get done rebuilding, UCF is going to own this rivalry and win big here.
Final Record: 2-10, 1-7 AAC
USF is going to have tough non-conference games vs NC State and Florida, as well as games vs UCF, Cincinnati, and Houston. It is going to be tough to find wins, but weekly improvement is going to be the key to a successful season in year two of the rebuild under Jeff Scott.
