Jeff Brohm’s seat is getting pretty warm in West Lafayette. After impressing in his first couple of seasons, Louisville — his alma mater — tried to poach him but he told them ‘no thanks’ because he believed in what he was building at Purdue.

Boy, I bet he wishes he could go back and flip his answer.

Sure, he believed that what he had building in West Lafayette was going to be something special, but bad luck has plagued his program over the past couple of years. Injuries to a slew of quarterbacks as well as All-American receiver Rondale Moore has turned his promising tenure into a house of horrors.

Fresh off a 2-4 season, Brohm is now 19-25 in four years with the Boilermakers and he’s now down Moore who left for the NFL. David Bell is back as a potential all-everything receiver, but it won’t be enough here.

The Boilermakers will come out strong, but fizzle out late.

Final Score: Purdue 20, Notre Dame 38 (3-0)
