Thanks to a nine-game Big Ten schedule Nebraska football gets just three non-conference games and the first of those will be at home against Fordham, an FCS opponent from the Patriot League.

Nebraska football should be riding a wave of positive momentum after a (predicted) win at Illinois and this is a game that should see the Huskers flex some muscle.

Final: Nebraska 52, Fordham 17 (2-0)

If Nebraska can win that first game at Illinois, it will have a real chance to build some momentum early in the season which is something the Huskers have struggled to do in the Frost era.

The Bulls are also the second team in the first three weeks of the season to have a brand new head coach as Maurice Linguist has taken over for Lance Leipold, who left for Kansas.

Buffalo has turned into a yearly contender in the MAC. The Bulls also have Kevin Marks at running back and James Patterson, one of the best linebackers in the MAC.

This won’t be a pushover, especially if Nebraska doesn’t take the Bulls seriously. However, the Huskers should be able to pull away in the second half.

Final: Nebraska 41, Buffalo 20
