Northwestern had a spectacular 2020 season but the Wildcats have to replace their starting quarterback as well as six starters on a defense that helped carry the Wildcats to the Big Ten title game.

Even with Northwestern having a historic season a year ago, Nebraska could have won the game on the road last year and this season, it wouldn’t be shocking if the Huskers are favored by the time this game rolls around.

Beating Pat Fitzgerald and company is never easy, yet Frost and the Huskers find a way.

Final: Nebraska 24, Northwestern 17 (5-1)

This is going to be a toss-up between two head coaches on the hot seat. Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines are going to be much improved this season. The 2-4 campaign a year ago had a lot of things go wrong, including injuries and opt-outs from key players.

Frost and Harbaugh have met just once since the former took the job at Nebraska and it was a blowout in one of Adrian Martinez’s first starts.

I’ve gone back and forth on this one but top to bottom, Michigan is a little more talented and will find a way to knock off the Huskers.

Final: Michigan 21, Nebraska 17 (5-2)
