Nebraska Football: Game-by-game predictions for Huskers in 2021
This is another pivotal game for the Huskers and if the crowds are back in full force this fall, it makes this trip to Minnesota even more difficult.
The Huskers have struggled to win on the Gophers home field and I don’t see that changing this season. Nebraska is going to be worn out at this point in the season and is a week away from a bye.
A win here would move Nebraska into the bye week with a shot at still winning the Big Ten West. If this game was in Lincoln, I’d give Nebraska football the edge but Tanner Morgan and company win narrowly.
Final: Minnesota 27, Nebraska 24 (5-3)
Last season, Nebraska beat Purdue on the road and will look to notch another win following a bye week. The Huskers have the advantage at quarterback and their defense is much deeper.
Purdue does have one of the most talented receivers in the Big Ten in David Bell and also a pass rusher with first-round potential in George Karlaftis.
The Huskers are going to need this game to ensure bowl eligibility and at this point in the season, it’s truly going to be a must-win game. Nebraska is the better team and proves it with a win that gets it to bowl eligible for the first time under Frost.
Final: Nebraska 37, Purdue 17 (6-3)
