Boise State Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2021 season
Central Florida is another Group of Five team with a coach who came over from a prominent Power Five program, but unlike the Broncos, the Knights hired a former head coach. The Knights hired Gus Malzahn away from Auburn (where Bryan Harsin now is) and he actually might be a good fit in Orlando to try and lead UCF back to prominence.
Dillon Gabriel is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and he has serious 4,000-yard potential and I think he’ll give Boise State’s defense fits in the opener.
This will be a massive Group of Five battle and it deserves all the attention and it’s going to be an instant classic.
Final Score: Boise State 35, UCF 41 (0-1)
After a 3-1 start to the 2020 season, the Miners finished 0-4 and closed with a losing record in what looked like it would be a promising year.
UTEP had the No. 101 offense in the country a year ago and it returns eight starters but that may not be the best thing for this group. The No. 46 defense in the nation returns just six starters so Dana Dimel has his work cut out for him.
This one shouldn’t be close.
Final Score: UTEP 14, Boise State 42 (1-1)
