D.J. Uiagalelei takes over as QB1

This season, the Clemson Tigers have massive turnover offensively. Moreover, some of the best players in school history are no longer there. Trevor Lawrence (the best quarterback in school history), Travis Etienne (the best running back in school history), and Jackson Carman (the best tackle in school history) are all gone.

Not to mention Amari Rogers and Cornell Powell are missing from the receiver room.

It would be foolish to think this offense could be just as good or better than last season, or would it? D.J. Uiagalelei is every bit the quarterback Trevor Lawrence is, and both the receiver and running back rooms are loaded.

First, all signs are pointing to the return of Justyn Ross this season, and he might not be the best receiver on the team. Frank Ladson and Joe Ngata are big and freakishly athletic receivers who are matchup nightmares for defensive backs.

Keep an eye of Ajou Ajou. The Canadian-turned Floridian is a wide receiver in a tight end’s body. That does not include the highly-touted receivers in this year’s class.

Lyn-J Dixon looks like the front-runner to start at running back. However, the senior has two freshmen, all-purpose back Will Shipley and battering ram-like running back Phil Mafah, looking to take carries from him this fall.

The offensive line is talented and experienced as well. ACC defensive coordinators are losing sleep already trying to figure out how to stop this offense.
