1. Khalil Shakir is a cheat code

Khalil Shakir is improving his draft stock each week and his performance against UTEP was borderline unreal. He got the game started with an incredible one-handed grab.

Shakir had that catch and six more for 166 yards, putting him over 250 yards on the season with 12 catches and a touchdown. He looks like one of the best receivers not just in the Group of Five, but in all of college football and he took center stage on Friday night.

Whenever Boise State needs a big play, Shakir is about as sure-handed as they come. He’s the spark that this offense has needed through the first two games.

Simply put, Shakir is a cheat code and Hank Bachmeier is utilizing that more often than not which has helped the offense roll in the first two games.

If Boise State wants to make a run at the Mountain West title and a New Year’s Six bowl, it’ll need to rely heavily on this Shakir-Bachmeier connection.
