1. Lideatrick Griffin started the game off right on special teams

Kickoff returns are some of the most exciting things about football, and the Bulldogs’ Lideatrick Griffin started the game off with a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start the game:

Griffin has been a solid kick returner since arriving in Starkville last season. He averaged 37.3 yards on kickoffs last season, and the touchdown today was his first.

Mississippi State’s kickers Nolan McCord and Brandon Ruiz were perfect on their extra point attempts, and McCord added a 32-yard field goal.

Overall, this was a solid win for Mike Leach’s Bulldogs. Next week, they take on the Memphis Tigers at 4 p.m. ET.
