5 things we learned from Week 2 of College Football season
Big Ten is up for grabs
Another thing we learned in Week 2 of college football is that the Big Ten might actually be up for grabs in 2021.
Not only has Ohio State looked like a mere mortal team in the first two weeks of the season, but the rest of the league looks strong.
Sure, there are disappointments such as Indiana, but Iowa has already defeated two ranked opponents and notched the most impressive non-conference win of any Big Ten team so far.
Michigan and Michigan State are also 2-0 and have won impressively in back-to-back weeks, although Michigan played Western Michigan in Week 1 and MSU played Youngstown State last Saturday.
Add the fact that Penn State beat Wisconsin and the Big Ten East is loaded. In the latest S&P rankings, Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State are all ranked similarly.
It’s early and the good news for Ohio State is that CJ Stroud is electrifying and a true Heisman candidate and the best quarterback in the Big Ten.
The Buckeyes also have one of the best offenses in the country but the defense has issues and unless it improves, it could cost Ohio State another Big Ten championship, although my money is still on OSU.
Iowa is no joke though. The Big Ten West has been put on notice.
