2. Pittman will ensure Arkansas avoid the trap

Head coach Sam Pittman has received near-universal praise for his leadership, game planning ability to create a winning culture at Arkansas. It seems like the entire state is behind Pittman and his tell-it-like-it-is approach.

Pittman is well aware that his team needs to avoid this trap game in Week 3. He recently told the media his team was not practicing up to the high standard he has set. So, Pittman put everyone in the film room and brought them back down to Earth and off that winner’s high.

“I showed them three different games of teams that won big games and lost to unranked opponents the next week. We’ve had a little success because we roll up our sleeves and go to work. We did not do that to our standards (early this week),” Pittman said in comments captured by the Associated Press this week.

Not since Houston Nutt have Razorback fans had a coach that’s gotten this much buy-in from fans and players so quickly into their tenure. Sam Pittman does a fantastic job of balancing the serious with the fun and makes it impossible not to root for him and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

If college coaches had approval ratings, Pittman’s would probably be one of the highest in the country based on the respect and admiration Arkansas fans have for this coach.

Expect Sam Pittman to have his Hogs ready for the challenge on Saturday to go on their first three-game winning streak since 2016.
