Penn State whiteout doesn’t necessarily mean a win

The “White Out” has become pretty popular in Happy Valley and it happens at least once a year. This will be the 17th game that has showcased all of the fans wearing white and while it looks really cool, it hasn’t been as successful as one might think.

Penn State football is actually just 8-8 in these 16 games. Normally, it’s reserved for Michigan or Ohio State. But this is a big matchup for the Nittany Lions and the Big Ten frankly, so it makes sense.

But as we said previously, Nix is a veteran quarterback. He’s not going to be shaken by the environment and while he hasn’t played stellar on the road, that happens when you’re a young quarterback. It’s time for Bo Nix to grow up and a win Saturday would prove a lot.

Auburn’s defense will be the key. The Tigers are going to have to win the turnover battle or at least pull even. They have the edge in the running game, in my opinion, they just need to take advantage of it and force Penn State to be one-dimensional.

If the Tigers can do that and get a solid outing from Nix, they should be able to leave Happy Valley with a signature win.
